Installation, Repair and Removal

This section describes Installation, Repair and Removal procedures for Intel^® PROSet/Wireless Software.

Installation

To install Intel^® PROSet/Wireless Software, you need a computer (PC) with Microsoft Windows Vista SP2 or Windows 7 operation system.

To start your installation, enable the hardware and launch BluetoothSetup.exe from your installation disk – the Installation Wizard appears.

Follow the steps specified by the Installation Wizard:

Select the installation language from the drop-down list in the Choose Setup Language dialog and click OK. The Preparing to Install window displays progress status.
Click Next on Welcome page.
Read the license agreement and accept it on License Agreement page, then click Next.
If required, change the destination folder on the Destination Folder page.
The default installation is “C:\Program Files\Intel\Bluetooth Profile Pack”.
On the Ready to Install the Program wizard, click Install to start the installation process. The Installing Intel^® PROSet/Wireless Software window displays the installation progress.
When the installation process is complete, click Finish.
After installation, the Intel^® PROSet/Wireless Software is available from the Bluetooth tray icon menu in the system tray area.

Repair

To repair Intel^® PROSet/Wireless Software, click Uninstall a program link in the Programs group (or double-click Programs and Features icon) of the Windows Control Panel. Select the Intel^® PROSet/Wireless Software in the applications list, click Repair and follow the instructions. To finish repairing, reboot the system – all changes take place after rebooting.

Removal

To uninstall Intel^® PROSet/Wireless Software, click Uninstall a program link in the Programs group (or double-click Programs and Features icon) of the Windows Control Panel. Select the Intel^® PROSet/Wireless Software in the applications list, click Uninstall and follow the Wizard instructions. To finish uninstallation, reboot the system – all remaining files are deleted.
